National Vegetable Day at the South Carolina Farmers Market

By June 26, 2020June 28th, 2020No Comments

Pod Leader Haley Vasuki of PlantPowered Florence set up a booth at her local farmers market, handing out information about fighting COVID-19 with plant-based nutrition. The city of Florence, South Carolina, hosted a special farmers market in honor of National Vegetable Day. This day promotes the importance of eating locally sourced vegetables (and other whole plant foods).

Haley shared recipes that use local produce so that community members can find all that they need right at their local farmers market. Haley also shared the Global Jumpstart with her community and encouraged attendees to give the plant-based lifestyle a try!
