There is a wonderful crowdfunding collaborative effort underway that involves the nonprofit PlantPure Communities (PPC) and Vitamix. Through PPC’s Oasis Program, people in underserved neighborhoods who are struggling with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other food borne illnesses are provided healthy food and nutrition education and the opportunity to learn about the benefits of a whole plant-based diet, while enabling them to experience the health benefits firsthand.
