Group Leader, Sally Lipsky, from the Plant-Based Pittsburgh Pod, along with other nutrition-focused organizations in the PPC Pod Network across Pennsylvania, sent a letter to Gov. Tom Wolf requesting that he add a nutrition strategy to the state’s efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette picked up the LTE and published a Boosting Immunity piece, to which an interested physician responded with this letter, also published in Post-Gazette. A second LTE, Plant-based diet can help with covid-19, was published a month later in The Tribune-Review. Congratulations to Sally and Plant-Based Pittsburgh for spreading the word about the importance of nutrition during the COVID-19 pandemic.
