November 30, 2017 - Party with a Purpose Celebration

November 30th was a milestone day for PPC. First, with the official launch of the PlantPure Communities Restaurant Campaign at a Press Conference, and then with our Party with a Purpose celebration of all that has been accomplished – with the help of our donors, Pod members, nonprofit partners, and others – in less than two years. Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD, author of The China Study and Whole, made a special educational presentation; Nelson Campbell, the founder of PlantPure Communities, shared his insights on the grassroots movement; and we were delighted that 4-time NBA champion and vegan advocate John Salley joined us and brought his authenticity and warmth to the day’s events. Please visit our YouTube page for videos of both the Restaurant Campaign Press Conference and the Party with a Purpose presentations.

November 16, 2016 - The Launch of PlantPure Communities

Group Photo 1The official launch of PPC took place on November 16th in New York City. PPC Founder Nelson Campbell conducted the program, which included a terrific line-up of speakers including Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Kim Campbell, Alex Brown, Dr. Michael Hollie, and Jenny Miller. Moving testimonials were shared about how a plant-based diet has changed lives for the better. Three of PPC’s founding board members – Jim Courage, Paula Branson, and Nelson Campbell – were honored for their vision and leadership. Members of the PPC staff appreciated the opportunity to connect in person with people from the PlantPure community and were grateful for the volunteers who helped out, many of whom belong to the PPC Pod groups in the Northeast. Check out photos from the Launch event on the PPC Facebook page.

I loved the presentations, the food was divine, and of course it is always great to mingle and meet new friends who share our passion for the health and well-being of people, animals, and the planet. The speakers provided me and others who are new to the PlantPure family with a solid idea of the organization’s goals and foci. It was engaging and inspiring.” Anna Marandi, attendee at the Launch event
