January 22, 2020 – Confronting Reductionism, Past and Present Webinar

Featuring Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Nelson Campbell

Dr. T. Colin Campbell has been at the forefront of nutrition research for more than 40 years, and is known around the world as the ‘science father’ of the plant-based nutrition movement. In this video, Dr. Campbell and his son Nelson, founder of the nonprofit PlantPure Communities, discuss key themes from Dr. Campbell’s recently completed book, scheduled for publication in 2020. He and Nelson pick up the thread of an ongoing discussion about the challenges in the plant-based community caused by the reductionist, technological, and commercially-driven history of nutritional and medical science, which has caused (and still causes) so much confusion among the public and healthcare practitioners. They discuss why acknowledging and resolving the challenges posed by these trends is essential to facilitating a more rapid transition to a plant-based world.
